Contribution to the book Christianity in Eastern and Southern Europe

Published: July 22, 2025

A new book titled “Christianity in Eastern and Southern Europe,” edited by Kenneth R. Ross, Marian Gh. Simion, and Todd M. Johnson, has recently been published as part of the “Edinburgh Companions to Global Christianity” series, which explores the development of Christianity in different parts of the world.

This book provides an overview of Christianity in Eastern and Southern Europe, regions marked by historical challenges such as communism, religious tensions, and social transitions. Its goal is to show how Christian communities have developed and adapted within these contexts.

It is especially important to highlight that our lecturer Kostake Milkov and Dean Dalibor Kraljik made valuable contributions to the book through chapters on North Macedonia and Croatia, respectively, offering insight into the history, current state, and contemporary challenges of Christianity in these countries.

This valuable book can be purchased directly from the publisher, Edinburgh University Press, or via Amazon.
