The Brethren Church from across Europe held an international conference for leaders and pastors of the Brethren Churches in Europe from June 23 to 27, 2025, in the city of Pomezia, Italy. Around one hundred participants gathered at this event under the theme “Expand the Kingdom,” with a special focus on church planting, church vitality, and youth. Numerous workshops were organized, where participants discussed and reflected on topics such as discipleship, church revitalization, youth in the church, and more.
Ismir Žigić, a graduate student at our seminary, represented the youth from his local church in Zenica (Bosnia and Herzegovina) at the conference. He also took part in the youth panel titled “Connecting with Youth Today,” which aimed to explore whether there are any reasons for potential misunderstandings and disagreements between younger and older generations in the church, and whether young people are a burden to the church or rather a blessing.
