With the votes of the audience, citizens of our town, and the jury, on December 16, 2023, at the Advent gathering in the Lower Town, the winner of the most beautiful Christmas tree was announced:
In the committee’s explanation, it is stated: “With 230 votes, and a wonderful connection between the message that every child is a gift and that this is a time of joy for the birth of the Savior, along with the beautiful whiteness and discreet sparkle that reflects all the tenderness and love in this special moment of new life in the form of small angels and stars, and above all, a symbol of Hope and Resurrection, the worthy team from the Grlice Kindergarten won. The tree goes to the Osijek Center for Education and Training ‘Ivan Štark’. May Christmas be special, blessed, and joyful for these little stars, each so different and beautiful, so loved, and their families! Congratulations.”
We also congratulate all other associations, families, friends, and colleagues gathered in the remaining 11 teams, who made our space beautiful for two weeks. Each tree was special and different, made of natural materials, in joyful colors, with hidden sweets in gift boxes, carrying messages of love and hope. All trees will soon go to their ‘hosts,’ small and big friends, children, youth, the elderly in nursing homes, firefighters, and those in need—everyone loved, for the joy and happiness of Christmas!
