Our lecturer, Dr. David Kovačević, shared a message last Wednesday, July 16, 2025, at EPC Joyful News Church in Osijek, titled “Forgotten by People – Remembered by God.”
Based on the biblical narrative of Joseph found in Genesis 41, he emphasized how the Spirit of God works within us not only through visible, outward manifestations that those around us can clearly recognize as God’s work, but also in dark, difficult, and hidden moments that few people ever see.
This is evident in the life of Joseph who, although forgotten, imprisoned, and at rock bottom, was—through God’s providence, which remembered him—called to the Egyptian court to bring God’s word of peace to the fearful Pharaoh, ruler of Egypt.
This serves as an encouragement for us as well, especially when we feel forgotten and at our lowest. God has not forgotten us. He desires to reveal His grace at just the right moment.
